Capitol Hill Arts Workshop
Arts Adventures, for grades K-5
June-August, 9am-5pm
Campers spend mornings in the studio engaging creative curiosity in 2D and 3D visual arts. Each camp session offers new projects and performances and wraps up with an arts showcase for family and friends. Afternoons are full of swimming, parks, museums, fun, and games.
Jr. Arts Adventures, for ages 4-5
June-August, 9am-12:30pm
Arts are the perfect creative backdrop for imaginative play spaces, social development, and curiosity driven activities. The week culminates in demonstrations for family and friends.
Ceramics Institute, for grades 6-8

Photography Institute, for grades 8-12
July 15-26, 1-5pm
Learn how to shoot, develop, and present photos in this two-week course designed to have campers find artistic inspiration even after camp time has ended.
Shake it off! Dance Camp, for grades 2-5
August 5-9, 9am-5pm
Light Switch Dance Theatre presents Shake it Off! Dance Camp. Campers will participate in variety of dance classes including pop jazz, creative movement, musical theatre and hip-hop. At the end of the week, campers will have the opportunity to present dances from the genre's they explored to the community.
String Fling! Violin Camp, for grades K-6
August 19-23, 8:30am-12:30pm
Suzuki method based instrument instruction, ensembles, creative movement, theory and composition, and music games for young string players.

Shake Up Your Saturday, for ages 4-7 and 7-11
First Saturday of every month, 10am and 11am
Our Shake Up Your Saturday family programs are free and take place on the first Saturday of every month. Family members of all ages are welcome to join the fun and experience Shakespeare’s language together. Reserve your spot.

Alliance Française: Pirate Day Camp!, for ages 5-11

The Renaissance Child Summer Camps, for ages 5+

Renaissance started as a Lego Robotics Camp, but has since grown and added cutting edge digital media classes, including Harry Potter coding, movie-making, 3D printing and more. It is their mission to spark creativity and help to develop the skills that will serve every student in the future. Parents feel that something special is going on when they pick up their children at the end of the day. The excitement of completing challenges and successfully accomplishing unbelievable technology projects fills kids with pride and satisfaction. The most amazing thing is that they were having fun all day building robots, programming, designing videos, etc., yet at the end of the day, they are still ready for more! Register.

Super Girls enrichment camp is a program designed to empower girls through the arts to be confident, independent and expressive. While participating in a variety of exciting team-building and creative/expressive arts activities, our group of supergirls will discover their inner powers to create their super identity which allows them to build their confidence and develop a sense of independence. Super Soccer Stars Mini Camps, for ages 1-6

At Super Soccer Stars, dynamic coaches work with every student to develop skills, self-confidence, and teamwork in a fun, non-competitive environment. Positive reinforcement and low child-to-coach ratios ensure that each child will improve his or her soccer skills through engaging warm-ups, activities, and games—all while having endless fun! Young Warriors Karate Camp, for ages 7+
June 17-21, full and half day available
The Young Warriors Program, teaching karate and self defense, is offering week-long, action-packed karate clinics to youth ages 7 and up with full-day and half-day options! All belt levels, including beginners new to karate, are welcome. Students will participate in daily, individualized karate instruction and build confidence and martial arts skills through various fun-filled, structured activities. Karate instruction will include kata, self-defense and sparring with peers.
Labyrinth Games & Puzzles
Game Lab Summer Camp, for children ages 8+
June 17-21 and August 12-16, 9am-3pm
Game Lab is a week of unplugged gaming fun brought to you by the game experts of Capitol Hill’s Labyrinth Games & Puzzles! Campers will become mad game scientists as they explore and analyze a wide range of classic and modern strategic games, experiment with game mechanics and components, and stitch together their own Frankengame. Campers will present their games to each other, and playtest the games created by their new friends. Through it all, they’ll develop important skills like patience, collaboration, and strategic and analytical thinking. Register for June or August.

Guild of Heroes Summer Camp, for children ages 10+,
August 5-9, 9am-3pm
Join us this summer for five days of storytelling, crafting, adventure, and excitement, featuring the Dungeons & Dragons roleplaying game. During our staff-led adventures in our Guild of Heroes world, we’ll learn math skills, creative and critical thinking, social skills, and cooperation as we solve the open ended problems presented by a world with titanic monsters, ancient evils, and powerful artifacts. Summer Challenge Kick Off: Teddy Bear Slip & Slide

Slide into Summer Challenge and put your STEM skills to the test. Neighborhood families are invited to participate in our first-ever Teddy Bear Slip & Slide competition! Join us in the garden as our library bears vie for the championship. Pick a bear to race down our two track slip & slide and watch them flop or fly. Children will experiment with the laws of force & motion, as they work to design the ultimate bear racing machines. Don't forget to register for Summer Challenge 2019!
